Tropical Convergence

Can you believe that the top for this quilt was cut and completely pieced in a 2 1/2 hr class? Kathy Porter, a wonderful local quilter, had several different kits and I think I took the one that was the most fun, and the brightest. The fused applique and embellishments were done later and took a bit more than 2 1/2 hrs. Kathy hasn't seen the finished quilt so I'm posting it for her. Yes, there are bead "bubbles" in several areas, and I fussy cut....REALLY fussy cut the ferns behind the large fish and added the seaweed and starfish. There are bubbles coming from the seaweed, too. It is machine quilted with waves in the border and sea motifs, etc. in the background. Lots of fun to make.

Bev - this is wonderful! I love the embellishments. I just did my first convergence quilt last week using just two fabrics. You've inspired me to tackle another using four.
